John Phebus 

Board Chairperson

 

John Phebus is an attorney practicing law in Phoenix, Arizona. He specializes in personal injury and criminal defense law. A resident of Phoenix for 29 years, John has deep ties to the Phoenix nonprofit community, having served on the Board of Directors of several nonprofits including Phoenix Pride as its treasurer, Aunt Rita's Foundation, and the Glendale Masonic Lodge. John is the past chairman of the criminal justice section of the State Bar of Arizona.. John is a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Phoenix. He is active in the local political and charitable community and has an abiding belief in the power of individual effort to make the world a better place.

Tena Hilleren

Board Treasurer

 

Tena has worked in finance for over 35 years, including public accounting, health insurance and private industry.  

 

She brings a well-rounded wealth of experience to support Axiom Community of Recovery. Her passion is helping people and improving the lives of those less fortunate.

 

In her spare time, she volunteers to support the SUD and MH communities.

Courtney Fleager

Board Secretary

Courtney is a currently a full-time student in a dual degree Juris Doctor and Master of Social Work program. During Courtney’s collegiate career she worked with the National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI) and supported children in Title I schools across the valley. As a professional, Courtney has acted in a social work capacity in several roles, including assisting in state benefit applications, mental health support for youth and reintegration and recovery efforts for adults at ViVRE Recovery Housing.
